Sir,

I am directed to refer to your letter of the

28th. February, 52753/28, and previous correspondence on

the question of the grant from Imperial funds towards the

cost of the Kai Tak aerodrome at Kowloon, and to request that

a Receivable Order for the sum of £70,000 may be obtained

from the Crown Agents for the Colonies and forwarded to this

Department for settlement.

In view of the fact that this amount is due to

be paid from 1927 funds it is requested that the matter may

be treated as urgent in order that payment may be effected

before the 31st. of this month.
